Information for Vendors

Becoming an Approved Program Provider

If you are a TSA vendor and are interested in providing services to DOE employees, please contact the Program's third-party administrator, National Benefit Services (NBS) at HawaiiDOE403b@nbsbenefits.com or (866) 439-2289 ext. 165.  Vendors must enter into the NBS 403(b) Provider / Information Sharing Agreement and be approved by the State of Hawaii Department of Education.

403(b) Provider / Information Sharing Agreement

Vendors that enter into the 403(b) Provider / Information Sharing Agreement with NBS become "exchange eligible".  Only transfer eligible vendors may receive transfers or exchanges of plan 403(b) amounts (subject to the terms of the Agreement).  A list of transfer eligible vendors may be found under the Investment Options link.  Components of NBS' ISA packet may be downloaded below.

TSA Contribution Remittance Problems

Remittance of Program contributions is performed by NBS.  Please contact NBS at HawaiiDOE403b@nbsbenefits.com or (866) 439-2289 ext. 165 if you have questions or experience problems relating to Program contribution remittance.
